AGENDA

• The City of Minneapolis has released a draft Working Families Agenda policy proposal that would establish new requirements for every employer within the City with one or more employees in the areas of earned sick time and fair scheduling. Todd Klingel, president and CEO of the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, will be joining us to talk about the policy from the Chamber’s perspective and its potential implications.

• Holidazzle Market will move from Peavey Plaza to Loring Park this year – and it will be FREE. Leah Wong, vice president of marketing and events with the Downtown Council, will be joining us to walk through all of the event details so you can maximize the benefit of this event for your customers, patrons, clients and residents.

• With the public hearing coming up on October 19th for the rezoning study of the entire Loring Park neighborhood, we’ll be learning the very latest on what’s being proposed from the senior planners for this project.  

  As an import reminder, the official public comment period for the rezoning study ends this Wednesday (Sept. 30). You can view the draft staff recommendations (which have changed in some instances from what was presented at our June meeting) on the city’s website at www.minneapolismn.gov/cped/loringparkrezoning.
